Well I've been promising this post for awhile, and i'm not sure why it took me so long to get it together, but here it is finally.
A few sundays ago, we had Heritage Sunday, and we had a service for our Pastor's Pastor, which is now retired, in honor of his many many years of labor and hard work that he has given to the ministry. It was really awsome, and heart tugging, as he got up to speak and said that he was so proud of what Pastor Weeks has become. And the honor that he gives to his elders.
I guess it's not a big secrete, most of my favorite people are my elders. I think they are worth more than anything in this world, and the wealth of knowledge and wisdom that they have stored inside them. It's so cool when im talking to someone, and they're like," well you know if you do this, or look at it this way, you'll see things in a different light", and so many many times I have come up against a brick wall, and I would ask someone that's an elder, and they would just blurt my answer like it was a no brainer.
So if there is a lesson to this blog today, it is to honor your elders, and make them the primary weapon in learning, because they're smarter than you know.
anyway, on with the show.
